Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith

Review
(June 2008) -
The line to the Aerosmith Roller Coaster took us into a recording studio where Aerosmith figured out that they were running late for a concert. Not wanting to leave their fans (us) behind, they made arrangements for us to get picked up before they speed off in their limo.
The recording studio doors opened and we were led into the loading area for the coaster that looked like a garage and the coaster itself was modeled after more limos. We had a short wait and then were loaded into the coaster, sitting beside one other person in the car. We were instructed to pull our restraining bar over our head and lock it into place.
After they verified that everyone was loaded and restrained safety we were moved over to the beginning of the ride. Looking into a dark black tunnrl, a short countdown happened overhead and then we were launched and the fun began. I believe you go from 0-60 in three seconds if I remember correctly, and we could sure feel it as we were pushed back in our seat.
What followed was a series of loops and twists in the dark, with neon glowing highway signs guiding the way. Just when it seemed like we were going to run into something the coaster curved or dove to avoid the oncoming objects in a constant motion with a couple of upside down loops all while Aerosmith music was blaring from the speakers behind our cushioned headrests.
The ride doesn’t last long, maybe a minute and a half or so, but it is enough time to enjoy the experience. Make sure you don’t eat anything before getting on, you might regret it. The combination of music and highway theme and thrills made this my favorite ride at Hollywood Studios.
Summary
Simply put, this is the best ride at Hollywood Studios, and one of the best of the whole Disney World complex. You will definitely want to take advantage of Fastpass on this ride because the lines can get long. We rode it twice, both times with Fastpass and still had to wait about 5-10 minutes to get on. The regular wait times for standby were over an hour both times we rode it. Also make sure to check out the photos of you on the ride afterwards…the movie Spies Like Us comes to mind. “You want some coffee”?
