Review
(June 2008) - Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is a rollercoaster located in the Frontierland section at Magic Kingdom, Disney World Orlando Florida.
We decided to get a Fastpass for another ride and wait in line to ride this our first time. The wait time at about 10:00 in the morning was only about 20 minutes. After winding down through the line and up to the loading area we finally were able to 'climb aboard' and start.
The coaster was modeled after a train...go figure.
We were loaded up and then took off, starting a short climb to get things started. This ride had some pretty good turn and dips, especially towards the end. The entire theme made things even cooler, as we were supposedely on a run away train.
The whole ride seemed smooth and they did a good job keeping the speed up on the train.
Summary
Not very intense for a rollercoaster but it sure was alot of fun. We were able to ride this twice during our day at Magic Kingdom. If you enjoy rollercoasters this is a must, and something the whole family can enjoy.
